Photos from a Costa Rican life of a yoga teacher in training!

I´m now settled in Montezuma, Costa Rica, on the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula gazing out toward a Pacific shoreline day and night. Each day I have practice in the morning from 7:30-9 and then class from 11-5.

I´ve made a home in a luxury chalet which we booked a deal on, as the owner´s daughter is in my course. Here´s a quick shot of my bedroom:

I have access to a full kitchen and a big refridgerator, which is a necessity, as I buy nearly all my food for the week at the Saturday organic farmer´s market!

Luckily this fresh supply of local, organic vegetables is continuing to inspire my culinary creativity. Big salads every meal, please! (They also have a juicer at the hotel!! HEAVEN!)

It´s a daily occurance that I have huge beetles whizzing by or onto my head, monkeys howling at me from the treetops or ants invading my room. Living in Costa Rica is a better experientail learning in Deep Ecology than was living in the treehouse at Evergreen in Auroville, India!

Many times lizards will scurry by, marking my next step

or huge bullfrogs will come knocking at my door (jumping into the glass panel)

or colourful squirrels will creep along my balconcy just passing by to say hello.

Sometimes I´ll find critters in unexpected places. I´m sure lucky this baby scorpion didnt mistake my skin for a pacifier..

When not in class, I´m studying Sanskrit or learning about local fruits and vegetables - picking starfruit from trees and cracking cocos with the hotel gardener!

Yesterday I went to the beach of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa for the day.

Internet is not so free or private around here, but shoot me an e-mail to keep in touch!
Love and light...
