First an apology for not writing more or closing my Taiwan trip... it was outstanding. I met so many fantastic people, started to really pick up conversational Chinese and saw the endless opportunity that lies ahead of me in Taiwan. I wasn't sure if I wanted to move there when I left, but I am still planning on it from January 2011. YOU MUST COME VISIT!
So - from Taiwan I spent some time on the ocean in southern Florida with my gregorious grandfather, and then I swooped by Ohio on my way down here to COSTA RICA.
I've been here a week, traveling and exploring a bit of the country and people. My Spanish is back on fire, so much so that this morning I completed a course in Reiki (level 1) all in Spanish! It was a lovely experience, and I am excited to share this new tool of energy work with my friends and friends to be. I've been couchsurfing here and have met some awesome people.

Costa Rica is home to some of the most beautiful people I've seen in a long time. Maybe I'll pick up a Tico (Costa Rican) boyfriend.. :) But in all seriousness, the dicho, or saying, here is "PURA VIDA" .. The pure life!
Sorry I don't have photos to share yet (I left the SLR in c-bus), but I'll post some from my point-and-shoot later.
So tomorrow, to honour Earth Day, I'm heading to an intentional community and ecovillage south of San Jose.. que rico! I'l spend only a short 24 or so hours there before heading to Montezuma to get settled for starting my yoga teacher training on Sunday. (That's what I'm here for after all..) Last week I stopped by (more like schlepped out to) Montezuma to get the low-down on renting a house for the month. Prospects looked good, but now they're not so promising. We shall see. Anyway, when I was there I met an older man, a Tico, who is going to take me hiking in the forest and teach me regional plant medicine. CAN YOU FEEL MY EXCITEMENT?! I'll keep you posted (pun) on how it goes.
Otherwise, I jetted up for a quick trip to Monte Verde, green mountian, to do some hiking and see the cloud forest there. It was nice, but take me back to Mindo, Ecuador, please!
Otherwise, I'm busy starting a new gig with a positive news magazine which publishes editions online to inspire people and provide a positive news media for schools and universities and whomever else is reading!

Signing out after a beautiful sunset in Heredia Coista Rica,
apd
