Monsoon Season Redefined

It appears that the corner where our school is located is the low-point of any area within a good kilometer. Thus our street has become a lake. (Though I've been told happens only 2-3 times per monsoon season.) Danielle and I thought we had it bad in the floods of Bangladesh last summer, but here life doesn't stop. School is the only thing cancelled, so kids have rain-day parties, and everyone else carries on with business as normal (a very wet nornmal).

Some illustrations from our 9am swim to class:

"Oh shit. Nothing's draining."

Now we have to wade home through this...
